Kaimaktsalan, the highest peak of Mount Voras, is home to one of the highest ski centres in Greece, with views as far as Olympus on clear days. Accommodation is mostly in Agios Athanasios, a stone village on the mountainside, with guesthouses and chalets with fireplaces.
