Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. General Cancellation Terms & Bank Fees

Cancellation terms, deadlines and any applicable charges depend directly on the respective provider (hotel, villa or service) and on the rate type you select during your booking.

Important Note on Bank Fees: In all cancellation cases (including free cancellation), there are bank fees for processing the transaction. These fees are always withheld from the final refund amount. The customer is informed in detail of the exact bank withholding amount during the refund issuance process.

Free Cancellation

If your booking qualifies for free cancellation, you may cancel up to the specific date and time stated during the booking process. The amount charged will be refunded to your original payment method, minus the mandatory bank fees mentioned above.

Late Cancellation (With Penalty Charge)

If you cancel your booking after the free cancellation deadline has passed, or in the event of a no-show, a cancellation penalty will apply. This amount may range from the cost of the first night up to 100% of the total booking value, plus the applicable bank fees.

Non-Refundable Rates

Bookings made with a “Non-Refundable” rate cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded under any circumstances. The full amount is withheld as a cancellation charge.

2. Policy Visibility and Transparency

To ensure complete transparency, the exact cancellation policy, the specific deadlines and the penalty amounts for the accommodation you selected are displayed clearly:

• On the Checkout / Payment Page before the final confirmation and payment of your booking.
• Within the official Booking Confirmation Email you receive immediately after purchase.

By completing your booking on trvl.gr, you expressly accept the specific cancellation terms and the bank withholdings associated with it.

3. Special Provisions for Payments via Klarna

If you choose Klarna (Pay in installments / Pay later) as your payment method, refunds and penalties are synchronized automatically between trvl.gr and Klarna as follows:

In the case of a Refund (Free Cancellation)

trvl.gr will issue the refund through the payment gateway (deducting the bank fees). Klarna will update your payment plan, refund the corresponding amount from the installments you have already paid, and adjust or cancel future scheduled payments.

In the case of a Partial Refund / Penalty

If, based on the terms, a cancellation charge applies, the penalty amount together with the bank fees will be withheld by trvl.gr. We will process the partial refund and Klarna will automatically adjust your remaining balance. Depending on how many installments you have already paid, your remaining scheduled payments will either be reduced or cancelled entirely.

4. Processing Time

Once a refund is approved and processed by trvl.gr, it may take up to 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account or for Klarna to update your payment plan, depending on your bank and card issuer.
