WELCOME TO ANTHEM SUITES Thousands of years ago, according to ancient Greek mythology, two powerful gods, Athena and Poseidon, competed to become the protector and namesake of a new city.
Poseidon struck the rock of the Acropolis with his trident, causing a spring of water to emerge. Athena, however, planted the first olive tree, a gift that provided food, oil for lamps, wood for warmth and, above all, became a symbol of wisdom, peace, prosperity and hospitality.
The people chose Athena’s gift and, in her honor, named their city Athens.
