There are several ways with whom you can reach the Island of Hydra. ✈️ From Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) to Piraeus Port 1️⃣ By Metro (Direct Line 3 – Blue Line) From the Airport Station, take Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) towards Piraeus. The metro runs directly to the station “Piraeus”, with no transfers needed. The metro station is located about 10–15 minutes on foot from the departure gates for ferries to Hydra (usually Gate E8 or Ε9). ⏱️ Duration: approx. 1 hour 💰 Cost: around €10 per person 🕓 Frequency: every 30 minutes 🕐 Operating hours: approx. 06:30 – 23:30 ➡️ This is the most convenient and reliable way to reach the port. 2️⃣ By Express Bus (Line X96) Bus X96 runs 24 hours a day from the Airport Terminal (Arrivals Level, Exit 5). Get off at the “Piraeus” stop (Karaiskaki Square), right next to the port. ⏱️ Duration: 75–90 minutes (depending on traffic) 💰 Cost: around €6 per person 🕓 Frequency: every 20–30 minutes, day and night ➡️ Ideal if you arrive late at night. 3️⃣ By Taxi or Private Transfer A taxi ride from the airport to Piraeus Port takes about 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic. 💰 Indicative fares: Daytime (05:00–00:00): approx. €50–60 Nighttime (00:00–05:00): approx. €60–80 ➡️ You can also book a private transfer in advance — the driver will meet you inside the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. ⚓ From Piraeus Port to Hydra Daily high-speed ferries (Flying Dolphins & Catamarans) operated by Hellenic Seaways, Magic Ferries and Alpha Lines depart from Piraeus to Hydra. ⏱️ Travel time: approx. 1 hour 30 minutes 💰 Ticket price: approx. €20–40 per person (one way) 🕓 Frequency: 4–12 sailings per day, depending on the season ➡️ It’s highly recommended to book tickets in advance, especially during the summer months. 🔗 www.ferryhopper.gr   How to Find Us form Hydra's port: Upon disembarking, you will see a large clock tower in the middle of the port. Walk towards the clock tower, and after passing the National Bank of Greece on your left, take the next left onto Andreou Miaouli, the main road of Hydra. Continue for 300 meters, and you will find our hotel on your right-hand side. Luggage Transfer Service: If you would like assistance with your luggage, we can arrange for an external porter to meet you at the pier and transfer your suitcases to the hotel for a fee of €10. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use this service.
