TRVL.gr Announces Strategic Partnership with Welcome Pickups for Airport and Port Transfers
ATHENS, November 1, 2026. TRVL.gr, the leading online booking platform, officially announces the start of its strategic partnership with the internationally recognized company Welcome Pickups. Through this partnership, TRVL.gr adds private transfers to and from airports and ports to its portfolio of services, offering users a complete travel experience.
Travelers can now plan the trip to their chosen accommodation in one place, on the same platform where they book their stay. The new service is immediately accessible on trvl.gr, in the dedicated Taxi section of the home page and in the Transfers section, and is supported in seven languages. Operations, booking management, payment processing and passenger service are handled entirely by Welcome Pickups, ensuring top service quality.
Benefits for Travelers
- Automated booking process: Once the stay is confirmed, the transfer booking form appears pre-filled with the destination (hotel) and the exact number of guests.
- Personal welcome from a professional driver: The driver tracks the flight or route in real time and waits for the traveler at the agreed meeting point, holding a sign with their full name.
- Complete pricing transparency: The final cost of the ride is disclosed to the user in advance, before the booking is completed and paid.
- Omnichannel access: The service is available on the official website, in the booking confirmation email and in the TRVL Air mobile app (in the confirmation and booking management sections).
"We are particularly excited about our strategic partnership with Welcome Pickups, as it allows us to redefine our customers’ travel experience," said Panagiotis Athanasakopoulos, CEO of TRVL.gr. "A trip does not begin at the hotel reception, but the moment a traveler arrives at the airport or port. Our customers can now organize their stay and their arrival in a single, truly friendly environment, enjoying the safety and comfort of an experienced local driver. For us, outstanding service begins long before a guest receives their room key."
The service is available from today at trvl.gr/transfers.
