Booking over €1,000 on trvl.gr? How to use Klarna despite the limits

Klarna has revolutionized the way we book holidays, offering flexibility in our payments. On trvl.gr, the service is available across our entire inventory — that is, for more than 6,000 hotels in Greece — giving you unlimited choice.

The limit you should know about

Despite this broad availability, Klarna applies credit limits for security reasons. Typically, the maximum amount per transaction ranges between €1,000 and €1,500, depending on the user's country of origin and their history on the platform.

If your dream trip costs more, there is no need to worry. There is a way to make sure your payment is not declined.

The solution: a smart booking split

If the total value of your stay exceeds the €1,000 limit, you can follow this simple strategy:

  1. Split the dates: Don't make one single booking. Instead, reserve the room for the first part of your stay (e.g. 4 nights), so the amount stays below €1,000. This transaction will be approved by Klarna without issues.
  2. Complementary booking: Make a second booking for the remaining nights of your stay.
  3. Alternative payment: For this second booking, use one of the other payment methods available on trvl.gr, such as a credit/debit card or bank transfer.

This way you secure the hotel you want, benefit from Klarna's installments for the largest part of the cost, and finalize your plans stress-free.
