Welcome to the historic and beautiful village of Karytaina. Just before entering the village, you will find Pelasgos Hotel, an elegant stone-built property that combines traditional architecture with modern comforts, offering guests a pleasant and comfortable stay. The name of the hotel is inspired by Pelasgos, the mythical ancestor of the Arcadians and the first king of Arkadia, who, according to mythology, was the son of Zeus and Niobe. According to tradition, Pelasgos taught people essential survival skills, such as building huts to protect themselves from nature and wild animals, as well as using animal skins for clothing. The hotel features 15 rooms, distributed across 6 different room types, with a maximum capacity of 2 or 3 guests. For the convenience of our guests, parking space is available, and upon arrival, a welcome drink—a traditional liqueur—is offered as a gesture of hospitality. Within the same premises, there is also a restaurant serving traditional Greek cuisine and a café, both open to hotel guests as well as visitors to the area. Karytaina is located in a privileged location and serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the natural beauty of mountainous Arkadia, a region rich in fir and pine forests. Nearby, you will find picturesque and historic villages such as Andritsaina, Stemnitsa, and Dimitsana, along with many other beautiful villages worth discovering.
