Location & Transportation Blue Dome Hotel is located in front of the sea, 100m from the center of Platanias village and 11km west of Chania city. The Hotel area encompasses 52m of clean sandy beach. The Chania airport and Souda harbor are a distance of approximately 18 km to the hotel. Taxis are readily available at the airport & harbour. Fares are calculated according to the distance travelled and surcharges, according to the number of passengers and pieces of luggage carried. The fee for a taxi from the Chania Airport to Blue Dome Hotel is about 40 €. The drive takes about 40 minutes. If you rent a car or you use your own car, take the highway from Souda towards Chania & Kissamos. Continue along the highway until you reach the Platanias intersection. Exit the highway and follow the sign for Platanias village. After 1km you will reach an intersection and a river on your right hand side. Turn east and continue, until you find on your left hand side a narrow street, between the “Mandeio” Coffeehouse and the “Kantari” Restaurant. Turn left towards the sea and you will reach the hotel after approximately 80 m. If you are at the square of Platanias, follow the main road, going west. After 400 m you will meet the first sign: “Blue Dome Hotel”. Turn right towards the sea. This narrow street, between “Mandeio” and “Kantari”, leads you to the hotel about 80 m down the road.
