Ritsos Guesthouse A traditional guesthouse with character in the Castle of Monemvasia About a hundred meters from the Castle gate, just a few steps from the town’s main square, you will find the Ritsos Guesthouse. Its location is privileged, since it is just above the Portello, the eastern gate of the wall, which leads down to the sea and a wonderful swimming spot. Fully renovated in 2017, it offers an atmospheric environment that combines the picturesque with discreet luxury and modern amenities. On the ground floor of the guesthouse you will find our traditional café where from April to October you can enjoy local breakfast recipes and relax under the shade of the old fig tree, before or after a dip in the sea, with coffee or ouzo and mouth-watering appetizers. During the winter months breakfast is served in the dining area of the Malvasia Hotel. Ritsos Guesthouse was the first organized accommodation in the Castle of Monemvasia. Along with the Malvasia Hotel and the Stellaki Mansion, it belongs to the Malvasia Traditional Hotels group. As soon as you arrive at the Castle of Monemvasia, go to the Malvasia Traditional Hotels group reception on the cobbled high street, about fifty meters from the entrance gate, to be taken you to your room. Our Rooms Simple and atmospheric! Originally a home, the Ritsos Guesthouse is an renovated traditional building which, with minimal interventions, was converted to a guesthouse in 1978. It has one double room and four apartments, ideal for families and large groups of young people. The rooms, decorated with handmade furniture and rugs, are charming without extravagance. All are equipped with air conditioning, a refrigerator and Wi-Fi, and some have a kitchen to prepare breakfast and light meals.
