As it is built using the traditional technic underground the volcanic lava provides it with natural air conditioning: it is cool in summer, while in winter it ensures the residents are warm.
The apartment overlooks the traditional village of Firostefani and is located beside the family church of St. George, from whom the apartment took its name.
